Niagara Helicopters … Flagship
Customer of Flight Check Ltd.
We've been operating Bell 407s for five years
and Randy conducted our transition training as well as our
annual recurrent training sessions. When it came time for
this year's training, the choice was a simple one to make.
I was even more impressed with Randy's training this year.
He not only did the usual outstanding job, but also went the
extra-mile to get my pilots ready for their Pilot Proficiency
Checks given by Transport Canada.
It doesn't matter how much experience a pilot has. Randy quickly
sizes up a pilot's skill level then challenges him to be better…
he's the best flight instructor I've ever flown with. I would
be hard pressed to use anyone else!

"Randy quickly sizes
up a pilot's skill level,
then challenges him to be better… He's
the
best flight instructor I've ever flown with."

We've
had the "Randy Experience" twice now and my pilots
are extremely pleased with the training. I have some exceptional
talent on my staff as well as some newcomers to our type of
flying and Randy is able to accurately judge their skill level,
work them really hard, and bring them to a higher confidence
level. Each of my pilots comes away saying the same thing:
"Randy
makes me want to be a better pilot!"

When
I decided to purchase a helicopter, I went to the Bell school
in order to learn about the different models and to inspect
the training school. My instructor was Randy Bechtel. We became
very fast friends. I look back on the experience now and remember
observing him during his demonstrations of the manoeuvres
and how effortless he makes them look. His flying is so inspirational
and motivating that I elected to fly with him for over 100
hours. While at the Bell school, I also flew with all the
other instructors and he is, without a doubt, the best as
both a pilot and instructor. He was so patient with me. He
taught me the importance of not giving anything less than
perfection in pursuing flying and to always double-check everything.
I have incorporated all he taught me into my flying. The strongest
impression Randy left me with about what he does is something
he once told me.
"
Maggie, it is a dangerous business we are in. I am not teaching
you to fly… I am teaching you to survive."
I
encourage everyone to fly with Randy. You will find him not
only an excellent instructor but also a true friend you can
always count on.
